Our Vision for 2012
An open letter to Churches and Ministries in North Georgia
Dear Pastor or Ministry Leader,
Thank you for your ministry in North Georgia! What a blessing to know that so many people are in this community pulling together for the cause of Christ. As a believer, it is encouraging to see all that God is doing in this area of our state!
As you may be aware, Rainbow Childrens Home is located right in the city limits of Dahlonega. For over ten years, RCH has been committed to rescuing children from abusive and neglectful homes, and helping them heal and move forward with their lives.
At one time a home for boys and girls of all ages, RCH now focuses exclusively on girls ages 12-17. Often overlooked, these young ladies are the future mothers and wives in our society. These young ladies need structure, guidance, unconditional love, and positive role models.
Because of government cutbacks and the loss of private funds, RCH is now operating on a minimal budget. By faith, we continue to open our doors to girls in need, and we give everything we have to make this a positive time in their lives. Today I am writing as a former full-time minister myself, knowing that your church desires to support missions that make a direct and critical impact on the lives of those who are most vulnerable and the most in need.
For the year 2012, we are seeking twenty-four solid, local churches to partner with us monthly, and support the efforts of RCH. Your partnership with us will make a drastic difference in the lives of young ladies who have been overlooked, forgotten, or abandoned. We are not only asking for your help financially, but through prayer and encouragement. We want to bring these precious girls to visit your church throughout the year, to offer community service to your church in whatever ways needed, and to experience the love of Christ through your congregation.
