Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are an important part of the work of Rainbow Children’s Home. The aim of the Volunteer Program is to provide a quality experience for the volunteer while enhancing the quality of care for children in the home. Volunteer work can be done directly with the children or indirectly through work for the agency.

All volunteers work under the supervision of the Rainbow Children’s Home staff. The staff works with the volunteer to determine a schedule and work program that is acceptable both to the volunteer and the agency.

Volunteer Process

Each volunteer must complete and return the following to our office: (*)The records check application must be notarized.

The process for the background check takes approximately 1-2 weeks.

After all of your information has been received and processed, someone from the Rainbow Children’s Home office will call you to arrange a time to complete your training. We will also schedule a date and time for you to begin volunteering in the home.
